About NoEnergyTax.com

What is cap-and- trade? Put simply, it’s a huge tax on various forms of energy—gasoline, heating oil, natural gas, and electricity—and it would be enacted if Congress passes a bill and the President signs into law. And because so many people and industries use energy, this tax will have a substantial ripple effect on the costs of goods and services. As a result, your gasoline, your energy bills, and your groceries (just to name a few) are all in serious jeopardy of costing a lot more money.

A cap-and-trade system restricts the amount of greenhouse gas emissions from American industries. And since Americans get 85 percent of their energy from CO2-emitting fossil fuels, this is a pretty large part of our economy. This energy tax will restrict the amount of carbon a business can emit and extract trillions of dollars from the energy-using public. It would then put the government in charge of delivering this wealth to other groups – like the hundreds of businesses and their paid lobbyists that clamored for financial protection.

While Congress considers enacting an expensive and stifling energy tax on you, we thought we’d set up an interactive way for you to learn just how disastrous it could be, and why it’s so important we act to put a stop to it. We’ve created this game so you can learn more about what cap-and-trade is, why we can’t afford it, and how it would create and enable droves of federal bureaucrats intent on tinkering with our economy. Sign up and share it with your friends, because the clock is ticking.
